What documents are required for the transfer of the deceased to South Korea?
The following documents are required for the repatriation of the deceased to South Korea.
- Identity card of the deceased or the identity card
- Data (name and telephone number) of the recipient in South Korea, or the data of the accompanying person.
All other documents such as birth certificate for single persons, marriage certificate for married persons, death certificate of the spouse for widowed persons, etc. are only required for the final death certificate, but can easily be submitted to the relevant registry office after the transfer of the deceased.
If documents are missing, a provisional death certificate will be issued by the registry office, which can be used to transfer the body to South Korea without any problems.
What are the costs of repatriating a deceased person to South Korea?
The total cost of repatriating a body to South Korea varies and depends on the following factors.
- Place of death (travel costs)
- Transport route (hearse, ferry or airplane)
- Airline freight costs (depending on the weight of the deceased)

What is the procedure?
- Fill out our order form and send it to us with the required documents and information by email.
- Wait until we have completed all the necessary documents and all other activities and we will get back to you.
- You will receive all important documents and information such as AWB consignment note, flight data, photos, etc.
- The deceased will be properly delivered to the airport and handed over to the forwarding company.
