What documents are required for the transfer of the deceased to Iran?

The following documents and information are required for the transfer of the body / deceased to Iran by plane.

  • Copy / scan of the  identity card or passport of the deceased person

  • Data of the recipient at the destination airport (full name and telephone number, email and address if applicable) or the data of an accompanying person, ticket number if applicable.

All other documents such as birth certificate for unmarried persons, marriage certificate for married persons, death certificate of spouse for widowed persons, etc. are only required for the final death certificate and can be conveniently submitted to the relevant registry office after the transfer of the deceased.

If documents are missing, a provisional death certificate is issued by the registry office, which can be used to transfer the body/deceased person to Iran without any problems.

 

What does it cost to transport a deceased person to Iran?

The exact cost of transporting a deceased person to Iran is difficult to state in advance, as the prices vary greatly depending on the weight (incl. coffin), kerosene, fuel, and the cost of the flight. coffin), kerosene, different fees in the respective cities and states, clinic fluctuations and of course the fuel costs.

What is the procedure?

  1. Fill out our order form and send it to us with the required documents and information by email.

  2. Wait until we have completed all the required documents and all other activities and we will get back to you.

  3. You will receive all important documents and information such as AWB consignment note, flight data, photos, etc.

  4. The deceased will be duly delivered to the airport and handed over to the forwarding company.

 

To which airports do we transfer the deceased in Iran?

Every international airport is able to accept bodies / deceased persons and coffins, and can therefore be approached.

In Iran, for example, the following airports are available

  • Tehran ( IRAN)
  • Mashhad (IRAN)

How long does it take for the deceased / coffin to arrive in Iran?

As a rule, a transfer  of a body / deceased person in a coffin by plane  to Iran takes between 4-8 working days.

Note: Please note that it is not possible to transfer urns / ashes of a deceased person to Iran, or even to cremate a deceased person there

What are the costs of repatriation from Iran to Germany?

 

If a death occurs in Iran, we are able to cooperate with our local partners to repatriate the deceased to Germany. This is often associated with very high costs, so it always makes sense to take out travel health insurance.

The total costs are made up of the costs of the funeral director in Iran, any outstanding treatment costs from the hospital in Iran, and our services up to the desired airport or cemetery.
