How long does it take for the deceased to arrive in Belgium?

As a rule, a smooth transfer of a body to Belgium takes between 3-5 working days.

How high are the costs for repatriation from Belgium to Germany?

If a death occurs in Belgium, we are able to cooperate with our local partners to repatriate the deceased to Germany. This is often associated with very high costs, so it always makes sense to take out travel health insurance.

The total costs are made up of the costs of the funeral director in Belgium, any outstanding treatment costs from the hospital in Belgium, and our services to the desired airport or cemetery.

Will I always be kept up to date with the current status of processing?

Yes, we always handle the transfer of the deceased to Belgium in close consultation with you so that you are always kept up to date. If you do not want this, please let us know in good time.
