What documents are required for the transfer of the deceased or urn to the Bahamas?

The following documents are required for the repatriation of the body or ashes  to the Bahamas.

  • identity card of the deceased and the Australian identity card

  • Data (name and telephone number) of the recipient in the Bahamas, or the data of the accompanying person

All other documents such as birth certificate for single persons, marriage certificate for married persons, death certificate of spouse for widowed persons, etc. are only required for the final death certificate and can be conveniently submitted to the relevant registry office after the transfer of the deceased.

If documents are missing, a provisional death certificate will be issued by the registry office, which can be used to transfer the body to the Bahamas without any problems.

 

What does it cost to transfer a deceased person to the Bahamas?

The complete cost of a body or urn transfer to the Bahamas varies and depends on the following factors.

What is the procedure?

  1. Fill out our order form and send it to us with the required documents and information by email.

  2. Wait until we have completed all the necessary documents and all other activities and we will get back to you.

  3. You will receive all important documents and information such as AWB consignment note, flight data, photos etc.

  4. The deceased is duly delivered to the airport and handed over to the forwarding company
