.

  • Copy of the deceased's identity card or passport

  • Data (name, telephone number, address and email) of the recipient in Australia, or the data of the accompanying person

All other documents, e.g. birth certificate for single persons, marriage certificate for married persons, death certificate of the spouse for widowed persons, etc., are only required for the final death certificate from the registry office, but can easily be submitted to the relevant registry office after the transfer of the deceased.

If documents are missing, a provisional death certificate is issued by the registry office, which can be used to transfer the body or urn to Australia without any problems.

What does it cost to transport a body or urn to Australia?

If a death occurs in Australia, we are able to work with our local partners to repatriate the deceased back to Germany. This is often associated with very high costs, so it always makes sense to take out travel health insurance.

The total costs are made up of the costs of the funeral director in Australia, any outstanding treatment costs from the hospital in Australia, and our services to the desired airport or cemetery.
