What documents are required for the repatriation of the deceased to Armenia?
The following documents are required for the repatriation of the body to Armenia.

ID of the deceased and the deceased's identity card

Data (name and telephone number) of the recipient in Armenia, or the data of the accompanying person.
All other documents such as birth certificate for unmarried persons, marriage certificate for married persons, death certificate of the spouse for widowed persons etc. are only required for the final death certificate and can be conveniently submitted to the relevant registry office after the transfer of the deceased.
If documents are missing, a provisional death certificate will be issued by the registry office, which can be used to transfer the body to Armenia without any problems.
What does it cost to transfer a body to Armenia?
The complete cost of repatriating a body to Armenia varies and depends on the following factors.

What is the procedure?

As a rule, a smooth transfer of a body to Armenia takes between 3-5 working days.
How high are the costs for repatriation from Armenia to Germany?
If a death occurs in Armenia, we are able to cooperate with our local partners to repatriate the deceased to Germany. This is often associated with very high costs, so it always makes sense to take out travel health insurance.
The total costs are made up of the costs of the funeral director in Armenia, any outstanding treatment costs from the hospital in Armenia, and our services to the desired airport or cemetery.
