What documents are required for the transfer of the deceased to Afghanistan?

The following documents are required for the transfer of remains to Afghanistan.

  • Identification of the deceased and their personal identification

  • Details (name and telephone number) of the recipient in Afghanistan, or the details of the accompanying person.

All other documents such as birth certificate for singles, marriage certificate for married individuals, spouse's death certificate for widowed individuals, etc., are only required for the final death certificate and can be conveniently submitted to the relevant registry office after the transfer of the deceased.

In the absence of documents, a provisional death certificate will be issued by the registry office, which allows the deceased to be transported to Afghanistan without any issues.

  • Submission of German burial documents to the Afghan consulate.

  • The coffin export permit

  • Processing of all formalities and visits to authorities

  • Packaging of the coffin with stretch film according to international regulations

  • Transfer to the airport

  • Freight costs of the forwarding agency for transport to the destination airport in Afghanistan (up to a body weight of approximately 80 kg) with an airline of our choice. We can also provide you with a recommendation for a suitable funeral director in Afghanistan.

  • Our fixed price does not decrease if individual services are not used.

If deviations from or additional services to our offer are desired, this is always possible for an additional fee.

What is the process?

  1. Fill out our order form and email it to us along with the required documents and information.

  2. Wait until we have completed all required documents and all other activities, and we will contact you.

  3. You will receive all important documents and information such as AWB airway bill, flight data, photos, etc.

  4. The deceased will be properly delivered to the airport and handed over to the forwarding company.
